I wathched one of al-jazeera non-news programs on youtube for the first time yesterday. The name of the program is 'Street Food'. It is about local food around the world. I felt it's a kind of amrican TV style. A woman reporter like a model walks around streets, eats local food and talks with local people.

Billy Bat
I finished 'Billy Bat vol1' by URASAWA, Naoki tonight. It is the latest comic by Urasawa. It is a sort of history and mystery comic. I mean you see the scene of the occupied Japan after the World War 2 in the comic. The Shimoyama case which is called one of the most mysterious cases in post war Japan is the important role in the story.
I am looking forward to the vol2. :)

Preparing Missile?
North Korea makes some moves that heighten tensions around the country, especially with South Korea where the president Lee myung bak maintains a stern attitude against North Korea.
SEOUL (AFP) — North Korea seems to be preparing to test-fire its longest-range missile, reports said Tuesday, a move that would heighten tensions amid stalled disarmament talks and icy relations with South Korea.
A source quoted by Seoul's Yonhap news agency said US and South Korean intelligence agencies have recently spotted a train carrying a long cylindrical object believed to be a Taepodong-2 missile.
Launch preparations are likely to be completed in a month or two at a new west coast site, the source said. The defence ministry and National Intelligence Service refused to comment.
Japan's Sankei Shimbun newspaper said spy satellites had detected a large container capable of housing a missile being delivered to the site at Tongchang, about 40 km (25 miles) south of the border with China.

Quantum of disppointment
I was looking forward to 'Quantum of solace' because 'Casino royal' was one of the best movie that I watched (on DVD) last year. However I was disappointed yesterday... 'Quantum' is a just action movie.
I read the interview of Marc Foster in the Japanese magazine 'Pen' and he said Paul Haggis who wrote the script 'Casino royal' didn't engage the movie's script much although his name was on the staff roll... So the relation between Bond and Camille seems to be father-daughter relation and not interesting...
Anyway, I found the word like 'Bond will back' on the end credit. I want Paul Haggis to write the next Bond movie.

Obama for study
I listened to Obama's inaugural address some times. To be honest, it was a bit difficult for me to listen to it in English. There aren't catchy phrase but it seemed simple and elegant. I heard that someone learn Kennedy's inaugural address by heart for studying English. I think about such a way of learning useful. Hm, but Obama's address is too long to memorize it all. :D
So, I memorized one phrase.
So, I memorized one phrase.
What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility. However Obama's address is useful. There are some interesting web site.
For example:
- video on the New York Times: very useful transcript technology!
- HD video on Youtube: Please see the video below. You can see the subtitles.
- interactive video on Yappr: especially for Japanese.

Ukulele!
I bought a ukulele last week. It is the first instrument I bought. :) I wished I would play some instrument while I wasn't good at music when I was in school. I want to play 'cavatina' of the deer hunter but now I practice some chords like C, D7, G7.
